Statistics say that 3 people die every second.

Which means:

180 people die every minute,

10,800 people die every hour,

259,000 people die every day,

94,600,000 people die every year.

Of the six billion people living on earth today, 2/3 of them have never heard the Gospel even once.

Which means, 63,100,000 (over 63 million) people die every year without ever hearing the Gospel even once!

From the group that hears the Gospel once, not many, accept the Gospel

Which means, many people die every year, without accepting the Gospel!

Therefore there is an urgent need to spread the GOSPEL through the fast growing CYBER SPACE using CYBER EVANGELISM.

The internet can be an incredible vehicle to reach out and spread the GOSPEL MESSAGE.

INTERNET can connect people from various continents. As the table above shows..there is a huge growth potential ins Asia and Africa…So there is a great need for EVANGELISM focused websites to reach out and share the GOSPEL MESSAGE.

Most approaches in Internet evangelism tend to be non-denominational, and draw heavily on the shared roots of Christian faith.Presenting a united front of Christian belief is deemed necessary to convince a skeptical audience of the fundamental truths of Christianity.

As we want non-Christians to visit the website, the website should be attractive with contents on various subjects. The contents should be dynamically updated and added. This should attract multiple visits.

However, Cyber Evangelism should not be overstated. Internet is only a CHANNEL which carries the MESSAGE.

Many Christians feel inadequate, and feel they don’t qualify to be be an evangelist.

“I am not a theologian”…..”I am not a great speaker or a singer”…

are common excuses given for not getting involved in evangelism.

Surely, every Christian has a duty and responsibility to Evangelise. The “fear of failure” should not hold back a Christian from evangelising.

The Lord wants Christians to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ, with others.

The level of faith of the person, need not deter him/her from evangelizing.

The internet has become a great medium or channel for evangelism. You can reach out to thousands of people in different parts of the world, which was not possible before, unless you travel widely.

SOCIAL NETWORKS FOR EVANGELIZING
People have got into the culture of social networking. Therefore evengalising within this environment has become a necessity.

FACEBOOK with over 600 million active members is the best channel for social network evangelising.

There are special approaches to follow if you want to evangelise in FACEBOOK. You should be in control of FACEBOOK and not let it control you.

TWITTER the MICRO-BLOGGER is also another option to build on CYBER EVANGELISM.
